INTERN Small Group WORSHIP LEADER

Responsibility To:  Small Group Worship Leader

Job Description:
    Purpose:  To assist in, or facilitate praise and worship for a
              Small Group.  To learn and develop as a worshiper and
              leader under the direction of the Small Group Worship
              Leader.
    Tasks:
        1.  To be a support for the Small Group Worship Leader by
            following his/her lead during worship (fast, slow, etc.)
        2.  Modeling worship by clapping, raising hands, etc.
        3.  Being early go over Small Group worship list.
        4.  Responsible for performing in such a way as to not draw
            attention to one's self.
        5.  Responsible to meet with the Small Group worship leader at
            least once every 2 weeks for training, evaluation and
            encouragement.
        6.  Responsible to lead, when called on by the Small Group
            worship leader, the Small Group on a particular song(s)
            during Small Group.
        7.  Responsible to learn and develop worship leading skills
            via conferences, mentoring from Small Group worship leader
            and other training opportunities.
        8.  Responsible for learning new songs.
        9.  Responsible for playing songs in the same manner as the
            Small Group Worship Leader.
        10.  Need to attend quarterly Worship Leaders Meeting.

Time Required:   2-4 hours per week.

Length of Service:  6 months or less

Qualifications & Skills Required:
    1.  A heart for worshiping God.
    2.  Ability to play songs and sing loudly.
    3.  Ability to select songs which lead to worship.
    4.  Must have commitment to a local church small group.
    5.  Must have been desire to learn and become Small Group worship
        leader.

Training:
    1.  Daily practice worshiping.
    2.  Small Group worship times.
    3.  OJT, conferences, books, and CDs/DVDs/podcasts relating to job function.

Support: small group, Small Group Worship Leader, Worship Pastor
         available for individual needs with an appointment.
