With over 4500 aftershocks since September, this city is both shocked and broken. Standing in the midst of the rubble, and working to heal the city that holds his heart, pastor and worship leader Paul Bennetts tells us what is happening, what worship means for Christians gathering to find strength and missionally serve together, and how we can pray. Prayer: Father, We ask for your unchanging love to be flooding the country of New Zealand, just as surely as the enemy would seek to flood with despair. Bring your kingdom, God. Bring your gospel to those who are lost and reaching out to find you in this moment of dire need. Bring your love, through your people to those who look to the church as the flesh-and-blood representation of Jesus' body on earth. And to your church in New Zealand, bring the power and grace of your Holy Spirit, that they may be filled with everything and lacking in nothing.
